Q: Frequent Rash Occurence,

I was diagnosed with jock itch after having a rash on the head of my penis. The doctor said it was fungal. He gave me some Lotrimin to apply on it. But still every time I masterbate and I get semen on the the head of my penis the rash comes back to it. It takes 2 days of washing, drying, and applying lotrimin (twice a day) for it to go away. But it will usually come back if I masterbate and get semen on it. I was just wondering what I should do and if I have fungus or bacteria in my semen. Thanks

Ok... sorry but my guess is that it has nothing to do with your semen. It could just be coincidence. Keep using the lotrimin twice a day until it seems like the infection is gone (not just when you masturbate) and if it comes back again go to the doctor and tell him it's not working!!!

You should probably take care of your internal health. I could type 10 paragraphs, but it's quicker to tell you to go to someone who knows such as a naturopath. Go to a heatlthstore and ask them what you can take for infections and/or yeast. There's several such as Colloidal Silver, Vitamin C, Garlic, Oregano Oil, Astragalus, etc. After taking those for a few weeks, take a probiotic supplement. Ask a naturopath or store clerk a good combo, how much, and how long for the entire regimen. Drinking water and staying away from sugar is also good.

Perhaps you have a UTI and take some stuff good for that. Not cranberry juice though, it has sugar. Cranberries yes, juice no, unless you make it yourself.

In the meantime stay clean, fresh underwear, stay dry, and if it doesn't burn you can use white vinegar on your genital area.

If you have jock itch, wouldn't exessive cleaning make it worse??

Healthysex's suggestions were great if you have a uti or thrush, but isn't jock itch a completely external condition?

I'd go back to the doc and get tested. For a uti, thrush, whatever.

You wouldn't want excessive cleaning, but you'd want to shower everyday. Gentle, pH balanced soaps would be best.

External conditions can still be treated internally and if they're chronically reoccurring most likely need to be. External treatment is still helpful, but if you don't fix the underlying problem it will just keep coming back.
