Cold Front!!!

So we woke up this morning and it's
freaking freezing! I hatehatehate the
cold! We don't have central air, so we're
huddled inside my computer room with the
cat and a little space heater. I'm nervous
because it's the first time I've used one
since Alyvia's been really active (last
year she was too little to notice it) and
she's really curious about it. I'm
watching her like a hawk because I'm
scared she'll try to touch it and burn
herself.
I'm ready for Spring!

I hate the cold. Hate hate hate hate. I'm
a Florida girl through and through. It is
still pretty warm here though. It's like
86 out right now. And the heat in our
house is going to smell so bad when we
have to use it this winter, I'm not
looking forward to that.
I don't have heat in my car.

We have these huge gas heater units, but
they're super old and make us nervous.
This whole house is ridiculously old
(Aaron learned how to walk in this house -
that's how old it is) and we're scared
that the heaters will burn the house down.
So we don't use them. Plus they take
forever to heat the house up, and there
are only two of them - one at each end.
Space heaters seem safer to us, plus they
heat rooms much faster. This house has
crap insulation though, so it's miserable
in the heat AND miserable in the cold.
Ugggggh. I hate it here.
It can get into the low 20's I think? I
really don't have much of a head for low
temps. I know it hits triple digits in the
summer. I think it's about 50 inside our
house right now.

I think I'd rather deal with the cold than
the heat of Satan....
I'm so sick of 90 degree weather.
At least with cold, you can always add
clothing/blankets.
With the heat, you can only take off so
much clothing...
And the expense of A/C is a joke...

I would much rather be hot than cold. I
don't like being hot either, but when I'm
cold I feel it all the way down to my
bones and I can't stand it! Plus I lose
circulation in my toes and in my pinky
fingers sometimes.

I'm with you! I would rather put on
another sweater or sit in under a nice
warm electric blanket than sweat to death.

I love waking up in the morning to nice
chilly air! It hasn't been getting too
cold at night here yet, I hope it holds
off for a little while because we aren't
getting wood for the woodstove for another
2-3 weeks! We have electric base board
heaters we can use though if we really
need too.
