The more I read about ms, the more I think this may be the root cause of my problems. I fit the demographic and my symptoms really fit. Doctors have been diagnosing as "atypical migraine" but, to me, that seems unlikely as some of the symptoms do not dissipate as would be expected with migraine (ie: left-sided weakness, particularly in the leg and arm and soreness in my left leg). I see a really good neurologist on monday so we'll see if he thinks it's ms.
My question is this: four years ago I had an mri because I was suffering classic migraines with neurosymptoms and we have a family history of aneurysm. Would my mri back then have shown anything because it didn't? I have been battling episodes of syptoms (headache, eye pain, weakness, numbness/tinging of extremities, dizziness/gait problems, nausea....) for nearly a year now. It comes on the tail end of viral illness and times of sleep deprivation or stress.
Also, I recently had some type of gastroenteritis. 2 cbcs were doen two days apart, both showing my white cell count at about 2500. Is that something one would expect from ms?
Tia!
