Anyone with knowledge ... please help!!!

On April 1st, 2007 my mother had a massive heart attack while on vacation in Las Vegas. The attack left her with 32% ejection fraction. We flew from Canada to Vegas where she had a quadruple by pass and was not expected to live.

To make things short, it is now 6 months later and she is still with us however she is suffering from severe nausea. Today she had a defribulator and pace maker installed which of course is a great safety net, but she still cannot get passed the feeling of nausea.

My mother is on a lot of medication however she is on the lowest possible dose because the doctors fear it may be that which is causing this feeling ... that is only a guess on their part.

IF ANYONE out there has gone through this or knows of something that can help, I beg you to reply. If we can get her stomach feeling better then she will be 500 percent better. I do not at this time have all the names of her meds but if anyone can help, I can get them.

Thank you all for your time and I do hope to hear from someone who has beaten this.

With hope...

Mike.

vomiting post cardiac bypass surgery
My husband had a MI and quadruple bypass three months ago and recently had a few vomiting episodes. I'm concerned because vomiting was an indicator leading up to his heart attack. Anyone have advice on this?

Vomiting after cardiac bypass surgery
My wife just had quadruple bypass CABG surgery on June 12. She is experiencing nausea and vomiting at about the rate of every other day. We thought it was the medicines and possibly the Magnesium Oxide tabs she was taking. The episodes appear out of the blue, and she feels fine once she throws up. On days she is vomiting, it takes all of her energy and she looks horrible. Doctors are stumped and have not done anything about it.

Nausea Pre & Post Heart Attack
Come on - someone MUST know what is going on with all of these reports of either having a heart attack, or bypass surgery, heart related issues causing this nausea symptom? It is scary cause Nausea is a prelude to a heart attack so I can relate with all of the people here looking for an answer to this - it's scary. I know because my mother, 78, had a MASSIVE heart attack 2 months ago. She was rushed to surgery and they performed angioplasty and placed a stent in her main artery to her heart. When they released the stent and the artery opened up from a 90% blockage to a 90% flow, she went into cardiac arrest and it took the surgeon FIFTEEN minutes to bring her back to us. No one thought she would pull through, but she did. She had nausea prior to her heart attack and now suffers the same severe nausea post heart attack/surgery/cardiac arrest/15 minute death. I feel for everyone posting here asnd would also like an answer. WHY is it that no doctor or anyone knows what the hec is going on with this?? Someone please step up to the plate and help - we need you.
