i shave mine as i like it that way, it makes me feel air when i wear skirts with thongs. It makes me happy to know that when i am on a period i don`t end up with blood on the hair as it has happened before.

First thing is, make sure that you use a shaving cream with moisturizers in it, because it leaves the skin soft and smooth and when you cut the hair, it feels really good, and you know, this may seem weird, but I let my husband shave down there for me. I usually lay on the bed, and he takes about 30-45 minutes and shaves it the way he wants it, and it's relaxing, and kinda' romantic that he would take the time out to do that. lol

I thought a landing strip was a SMALL stripe of hair in the front? About the width of a pencil or a pinky finger? Maybe I'm thinking of a racing stripe (unless they're the same thing).

I'm super lazy when it comes to shaving my legs, but I hate pubic hair with a passion. I can't stand it. Sad

Personally, my hair's not thick enough to even be seen if I make a line that thin.

Mine's curly so I'd have to trim and style, and I have terrible luck with shaving the pubic mons so I just trim it evenly.

I got this mental image of Barbie-sized cans of hairspray and rollers when you said "style". Laughing

Man, I was on this one, um, dating site..uh uhmmm... and I found it really interesting that the guys would ask if you had any pubic hair, then the next thing was they wanted to know if they could, well, let's jsut say perform anal sex.

HUH???

When those boys were 13 and if they perchance caught site of a woman's pubic hair, they were imainging a nice warm wet, FEMALE organ... What has happened??? I mean, REALLY, I ask you!!!!! LOL

Anyway...I have been known to get waxed, but not completely (I let a bf shave me 20 years ago, and he shaved me bare--I felt like a little girl!!! GROSS!!!!!). When I shave, the hairs grow in prickly, waxing is like all new hair, so no sharp points...but honestly? If it were up to me alone (as most times it is Sad lol) I'd let it all be natural

I said soemthing to my aunt a couple months ago about it turnign gray (I went gray very early, and she is not veyr much older than I)...she morosely quipped, "yeah, and then it all falls out." I was like, ew, I know a lot of women who are young now who gonna be happy later!!! ha ha

Then don't shave. Trim, wax, whatever. It's YOUR vulva; care for your kitty any way YOU want! Screw anyone who feels otherwise!

For sanitary reasons, I don't like my hair long. I am the type of person who sheds, so hairs can actually get inside of my vagina during sex, and that's not fun for someone performing oral on me! I also get menstrual fluid stuck in it and the only way to remove it is with scissors. I won't mention what else can get stuck...

Because of that, I keep mine trimmed. I do not shave the pubic mons (the front part on your stomach) because THAT is itchy! I do shave my outer labia; I feel SO clean when I do.

I agree. Do what you like. He'll learn to love it regardless. Smile

Plus, you could make shaving a special thing- like do it for him for his b-day or something.

COPIED: let a bf shave me 20 years ago, and he shaved me bare--I felt like a little girl!!! GROSS!!!!!).

I let my husband shave me all the time, and he usually does it bare, and I used to feel like a little girl too, but I came to realize that it is wayyyyy more sanitary, and it feels a lot better in your underwear. Whenever you catch a hair in something, it really hurts, so I like the fact that I don't have to worry about that. And I think that guys like that fact that they can put their mouth on something that isn't so hairy. Probably a really gross feeling.

Mine was really curly and bushy when I was younger. I started shaving it about 2 years ago. It really hurt and was prickly and I had bumps .. EW.. But I keep up doing it because my husband likes it and aside from the pain, I liked it too. Eventually though, it quit all of that. I can shave it with just a little bar soap and it's fine. I'm really amazed! Smile Now I'm so used to it that I can't imagine going back to the "bush".
I remember those times when your period clots got caught up in the hair *barf* ..
In fact, I'm getting a bit prickly now. I think I've been inspired to shave it as soon as I get home!

i use veet hair removal cream for the underneath bit and it works fine! it says not to use on the genital region but i think as long as you dont get it near the actual openings it is ok.

i like to have a 'landing strip' about an inch wide on the mons pubis, but i cant seem to do it without getting ingrown hairs. i've tried veet, female electric razor, regular razors. i cant afford to get professional waxing. do the home kits actually work?

is there anyone here who has successfully removed hair from the mons pubis area without bumps and ingrown hairs? how did you do it?

I usually just shave. It is different for everyone. Some people get killer bumps/ingrown hairs, and others are fortunate to not get any no matter what they seem to do. I would try using moisturizers afterwards and things to make sure it doesn't get irritated.
