Whenever I bring it up she gets angry at me and doesnt tell me what she's eaten/ hasnt eaten or whats going on. Please help- I dont know what to do as I dont want to push her away. Everyone is worried about her, how do I help her and get her to open up?

She has to want to tell u about it. .But u just have to make sure ur coming off as caring and understanding, many people dont realize but they may come off wrong and the other person may feel like their bein attacked or looked down on. Its hard.. Ur friend just may not be ready. .But the sooner she gets help the better. Its way more dangerous then she thinks. She just wont find out till later and hopefully it doesnt get to that pt! How old r u both?

Check the local phone book, ask a dr or health centre about eating disorder support groups even though your friend is not likely to go if you went this would not only help you it would help you to help her, but bottom line is it is up to her.

Go back to the last 2 posts - love & support her but also get some support & on the spot help/advice for you since this is a horrible situation for you & you need help to so check out local support groups even if she won't go to them - you can - that will help you & also help you to help her.

This may or may not be a good idea. You do want to show her love and support and it's really difficult becasue cutting and an eating disorder such incredibly secret destructive things, so when someone confides in you there really allowing them selves to be pretty open and vunerable. Speaking from someone who has had an e.D, sadly there isn't much you can do, if she wants help she'll ask for it, until then she will deny it, so in that matter its her move. The cutting- my advice would be, offer to go to a counselor with her and show your support in that matter. That way she can atleast feel a little more confident about getting help. I also would want to say tell one of her family members- mom - dad, but that would most likely make her back off from any help you could have been close to getting her. It's kind of a coin toss, but your being a great friend just by bbeing there, so goodluck!!!!!
