Sulfur, Lupus, Drug Interactions? Need help or advice
I was looking for information on sulfur reactions because a doctor whom I saw less than a year ago said I was allergic to sulfur and gave me a cream that worked. I had back surgery a year ago and since then I get a painful rash on my back; upper and lower with painful raised bumps that look like acne. If I scratch, it spreads it. REcently it went away and though the problem was gone. Then about 1 month later, one or two bumps and now I am getting more. I know that if I go out in the sun, my face gets cherry red for quite a while. It almost seem like I am burning up. I wonder if this is due to some of the medication my doctors still have me on from my back surgery??? The doctor thought it was just a rash. Yeah, there are not the ones in pain and discomfort. They only see me once a month. Any advice?

Sulfur, sulpha and sulfites are not the same thing
FYI sulfur, sulpha and sulfites are all different things. If you are allergic to sulpha (also spelled sulfa), you are allergic to an antibiotic. Sulfites are preservatives used in wine and dried fruits. They are not the same things. Although, you could have a food allergy to sulfites. Sulphur is an element. Nightshade vegetables do not contain any of these. Nightshade plants contain solanine in some quantities. For instance, the fruit of potato plants is toxic, but the tubers (the potatoes) aren't if they aren't green. DO RESEARCH with reputable resources. Consult your doctor and books and articles published by accredited physicians, researchers and universities. There's a lot of lies and quackery on the internet. Do not let yourself get taken in. Ask lots of questions and ask for referrals if you feel like your doctor is not taking you seriously.
