hi im 25 and currently taking loestrin 20 and have been for about a year, its the only pill that seems to work as others that i have taken have given me migranes so this was recommended as i think it was not as strong or something. anyway, for the last few months i have exacaly on the second week of taking the pill began my period even though i still have a further week or so to go i then finish for a week and once again have a period i dont understand why im having two periods as i could understand if it was a new pill or if i was taking it incorrectly but i know im not and also i have been taking it around a year and by now it should all be settled. i do at times only have one period which is when im still taking the pill.

i'm really worried as i dont understand what is happening im scared its bad news so dont dare see the doctor can any one help?

I don't understand. If you are scared it's bad news, why wouldn't you go to the doctor???

Oh it's probably just weird. Pills do that sometimes. As long as you're not having other symptoms like pain or tiredness/fever or smelly discharge or you aren't bleeding through more than a pad an hour, you're probably ok.

But asking your doc wouldn't hurt, it might be something to bring up before you get your prescription renewed.
