...after having your babies, how long did it take for your cycles to regulate again? I started my birth control (Yaz) the end of September; exactly 6 weeks and 1 day after giving birth. I have bled everyday since then and it's starting to get a lot heavier. It's getting really aggravating. I have only had about one week out of nine that I haven't bled. Since I didn't have a period in nearly a year, I know it's going to take some time for my body to regulate...but eight weeks of bleeding is taking it's toll on me.

I've not had my baby yet. And I'm pregnant with my first. But are you breastfeeding? I heard that you don't even get a period for a while when you breastfeed. I was just wondering. Even if you breastfeed don't you bleed after delivering but it not be considered a period???

No, I'm not breastfeeding.

I went through all of the post-natal bleeding. I bled for 4 weeks after delivering, then stopped for a week. Then, I started bleeding again...I thought this was my first period, but I haven't stopped bleeding since then...even with starting my BC again. I'm just wondering if Yaz isn't going to work for this time. It's what I was on before I we started ttc and it worked great. But I know my body has changed, maybe it's just not strong enough anymore????

Jaylon is 7 months and my periods are still messed up. It comes when it feels like it and it's super heavy. I don't think it will ever be right again.

I had my tubes tied, so I don't know if that makes any difference.

I had Kyleigh June 24 06...Didn't start my period until Oct. 3 that year. (It's amazing I still know that)!
I got my IUD inserted while on that first period and I haven't been regular ever since I got pregnant.
I bled for 7 months, quit entirely, now have started again recently Sad

My periods went back to normal after 2-3 months. I breastfed for the first month or so & then switched birth control pills so it took a couple months.

i started yaz 2 weeks after giving birth and bled for about a month after that. my doctor told me to expect breakthrough bleeding for up to 3 months while my body adjusted to the pill.

after that month of breakthrough bleeding, my cycles became very regular and my period would last for 1 day, after a couple cycles it stopped coming altogether.

i loved yaz!

I'm not really sure. But, I would think that since you started birth control, it would have at leasts tapered off some, maybe become just spotting. But, If you are still bleeding, I would just call the doctor and ask if you may need to switch bc pills.

I start a new pack on Sunday. Hopefully, it will start to taper off some; if not I will definitely be calling the doc. All this bleeding is messing with my iron levels, I've had to start taking my iron pills again.

Bridget - I loved Yaz before too. That's why I went back on it. My periods didn't completely stop, but they were SUPER light and only lasted a couple of days.
