I'm 29 years old. Last year from May 2006
- August 2006, I had symptomps like this
1) From the second week to the first week
of June, I had fever, sorethroat, and when
I swallowed my saliva I found that I got a
lump node in the front of my left bottle
neck (Clavicle). If I don't swallowed my
saliva I would not see it and be able to
touch it.
2) The symtomp had lingered for 3 months
and then it disappeared. However, I still
have had the swollen node in my neck since
last year.
This year in May 2007, the symtomp came
back. It started with high fever so that I
felt dizzy + sore throat. It'd lingered
for 2 weeks. Then I felt ok but still had
low grade fever. The bad thing was I
started working out and then my symtom
come back again. I did like this 2 times
and all the times I got fever and
sorethroat for a while and then felt
better. Until now( October 2007), I still
have low-grade fever all the time,
fatigue, and a swollen node in the neck.
I'm afraid that I may have HIV/Aids. Could
anybody answer whether it should be the
symtomp of HIV or Mononucleosis or even
the cancer.

Is this swollen lymph node painless?
Have you checked for other swollen lymph
nodes in other parts of your body?
Are you experiencing night sweats?
Do you have dry cough?

Have you visited a doctor?
Can you ask for a chest x-ray?
You can ask your doctor to refer you for a
lymph node biopsy?
Have you noticed white spots on your
tonsils?
Do you feel extreme fatigue?

You can ease your mind by having a HIV
test done.
The HIV antibody test is the most commonly
used test, and generally provides the most
reliable results( usually it takes up to
three months after suspected exposure to
detect antibody in your blood )
PCR test usually gives accurate results
within three weeks of infection.
Infections like mononucleosis or "mono,"
and HIV, usually, cause generalized
swelling of lymph nodes throughout the
body.
If you're experiencing an upper
respiratory infection like sore throat you
can have slightly tender swollen lymph
node on the upper part of the neck.
How old are you?
Do you have family history of lymphoma(
cancer of lymphatic tissue )?
Do you feel itchy without an apparent
cause or rash?
Please, visit your doctor and ask for
lymph node biopsy!
Take care!
