Q: Resistance to Meds?

I've been diagnosed with depression since I was 15, just over a year now, first I was put on Effexor but it gave me really bad side effects, then I was switched to Faverin. For a while it was working really well but over the last month I've been feeling worse, as bad as I did in the beginning. Could I have built up a resistance to Faverin? Please help?

It could be that you might need a higher dose. I have been on zoloft for about 4 years now and it still works for me and im on a high dose but then again it's different for everyone. This is something you need to discuss with your doctor.

You could have. When you're on meds for depression or anxiety, you have to keep in close contact with the doctor who prescribed it to you. Things will happen and sometimes you might need to change the dose or even the medication so it will be effective.

Good luck!
