I have had aura epilepsy (temporal lobe) for about 15 years, is there any chance of it developing into grand mal or is it likely to remain the same??

Hello
this is hard to say. as you have had auras for so long, there is a possibility that you could have grand mals. but maybe not as you have been grandmal free for so long. it depends are you on medication, if so maybe it is keeping your grand mals at bay. I can not guess, or say because i am not a dr, but maybe you should ask your dr. do you have regular eeg's , or see a neurologist. they maybe able to enligten you more on the subject then i can. But i guess if your eeg pattern has changes then it may be possible.
