sometimes I can't stop worrying about stuff, and I'll freak out and cry and get really frustrated about some stupid little thing when I don't know what's going on or I feel like I have no control of the situation. I'll get really restless and I'll pace back and fourth, or shake my foot, or play with something obsessively and people are like "what are you doing?"
I keep myself awake at night with what-ifs and other such worries...
Is that anxiety or am I just a weirdo?

Seems like you an introvert person! it does happen and its a temporary condition, not a life time. You can judge it yourself by talkin gto people, friends or family. Do you enjoy that moment? if yes then it means u r exerting too much on yr self.

Stop thinking too much, the history is gone, the future in un-known, just care for the Present! if yr present is good, yr future would be good as well.

Thank you

Alex, Do I see a sense of humor coming out here? You are too funny. I was up earlier and went back down with my doggie for a nap.

Yes, from everything you have posted, it does sound like you may be having some pretty good anxiety moments. Now, the first thing you have to do is find out what is "Triggering" them. Once you have found some "Tiggers" then focus on whether or not you have any control over them. If you do, then change them in anyway you can. In other words stay away from places, people and things that might set you off.
During an attack (especially at home in the evening) try some yoga with some nice New Age music. Find a safe place for yourself where no one else will bother you. Let yourself relax into a state of clear mind. Then go somewhere in your mind that is relaxing to you. With me I love the forest the most then the beach listening to the waves. There are many meditation CDs out there with verious kinds of soothing music.

Most important thought is to find those "Triggers" and that is where you will start to work on your problem. If in time this does not work for you, then it is time to maybe seek a doctor an talk about medication to help you along the anxiety road.
I suffer from the same exact anxiety symptoms. I worry about everything and a night if not for my meds I would also worry about the "What if's".
Think about the things that you are worrying about and if they are changable. If not, you going to have to work really hard knowing that these are things you can not change and are either going to have to be strong and deal with them or walk away from them.

I wish you the best of luck and let me know how you make out.

Carrie
