I'm 21 and when I was 13 I cracked the bottom of my spine slightly and my 5th vertebrae went out of place. So I've had back problems from a young age and took a good 4 years for it to feel "ok" again but it will never be 100%.

The past 2 years or so I have been getting pains in my front hips. It hurts when I put on clothes like sox, trouser, shoes or get in and out of cars etc or just when I lay in bed. I'm not sure if its trapped nerves as I used to have some. I also get shootin pains down my shins and knee caps but its not as often as it was. I also have been startin to get back pains again but not as bad as when I was younger.

I havn't banged my back or anything to damage it again.

Any ideas.

it is likely that it is all caused by these problems you say you have had... but if you are having differnt pains to what you had before you should still have it checked out. it cant be fun at all!! and shooting pains down your limbs does not sound healthy. go to a doctor if you havent already, and probably your best option is to be referred onto someone like a physio or something. back pain is really annoying. and mostly cos it's so hard to get an answer from anyone about why it's ahppening or how to stop it. i have tended to get back pain all my life from flat feet. but lately i've been getting a different kind of pain. it's half in my back and half in my ribs. it's been going on for months now. doctors didnt even know if it was muscular or spinal or nerve related. it got so bad one night i had to be taken to accident and emergency in tears to the point that i couldnt breathe properly from the pain. and the specialists dont know what it is either. it's better now but it still isn't away. so anyway. so cut a long story short, i know this must be annoying for you. just keep badgering people and if one person doesnt know how to help you, ask for a referral somewhere else. hope you get it sorted.
