Hi everyone my name is Gio. Iam 18 years old and weigh 190 punds and im 5 foot 7. I like to race quads in the desert and after an hour or so i start getting this lower back pain where the waist line is. It hurts that when i stop riding the atv that i cant walk wouthout it hurting me, and im sore for the nest 3 days in that same area. I got some x-rays done of that area and they told me that everyting looked ok. I also get this pain from mowing the lawn or when i bend down for a long period of time. My docotr said that im 20 pounds overwight and he told me to do sit ups but the oposite way. Does anyone have any sugestions in what it can be or something i shoul try doing? Pleas help cause im barely 18 and im already having problems, now i imagone how my back is gonna be 20 years from now. I rarely exercise and i dont do any sports, i dont know if this can be an issue. Thanks

Back Pain And Racing Quads
Hello Lagunasalada,

You may like to race quads in the desert, however, things like that and mountain bikes are known to cause back problems. You are only 18 and should not have back pain.

You really have but one choice - No more racing quads or you will end up having a life of back pain. Just read through the many threads about back pain.

I would highly recommend that you seek the advice from a neurologist.

PLEASE for your own sake, LISTEN to your back. Don't do things that bother it and cause pain.

I wish you the best on losing those extra pounds.
