Q: Thyroxine Medication For An Underactive Thyroid

Hi,l have been on thyroxine for an underactive thyroid for the past twelve months.At present l am on 100mg.l have been experiencing hives on and off since being on thyroxine.Was wondering if anyone else suffers as well.

This is an allergic reaction you are experiencing.
Have you informed your doctor about that?
Have you thought that you may be allergic to some of the additional substances in Thyroxine tablets?
Have you considered changing the brand?

I'd recommend trying a new brand too. The binders and other ingredients are different from brand to brand. Worth a try. Keep us posted!
