Q: Cronic Pain

I've had a cronic pain in my side just under my ribs for about 5 years.
Since i became pregnant 3 months ago it's becom increcingly worse.
It's like a spasm. It used to happen maybe once a week or month now it's every afternoon and lasts for hours. The pain has become unberable and occasionally I feel like I might faint. I consulted my doctor and he said "it dosen't seem dangerous it's just a nussance". I can hardly cope anymore can you give me any idea what this pain might be?
