Q: What Is Your Opinion?

I have been on BC for over 5 years now and plan to continue to take it due to bad menstrual cramps, mood swings, and other hormonal problems---and what I would like to know is someone else's opinion on the use of condoms. My boyfriend(of 5 years) and I always use them so I don't really know what it's like to not use one. We have tried practically every type: her pleasure, extra thin, ribbed, twisted pleasure, non-lubricated, and more- but none of them seem to "feel" right to me. I can always feel them and the best one that I like are the ultra thin ones. I am not having as much pleasure during sex as I would like to be having. So..... I was thinking since i'm on BC maybe we should just try not using a condom. Please let me know your opinions.
P.S. I will start taking a new BC in a week...it's called Lutera- due to bad headaches.

You do not need to use them. I didn't use condoms on birth control unless I was in question of my protection due to late pills.

since you are in a relationship and on bc and have been so long i wouldn't use condoms if i were you. as long as you never miss any pills and always take them on time. let me know how the new bc lutera is...i've never heard of it.

I don't use them. They're only really necessary if you're worried about std's- but otherwise, as long as you're confident you can take your pills right, you'll be fine.

Just watch out for things like other medications, throwing up, etc. I keep condoms useful in case something like that comes up.

Thanks for all the advice. I will let you know what Lutera is like when I start taking it. I have heard about some horrible side effects that i'm not looking forward to.

I was on Lutera before swtiching to Previfem the only reason why I switched is because I kept spotting. Other than that I loved that pill.
