There is a saying when you give birth, it is u leave your dignity at the door.........
Giving birth is a wonderful experiance, for the mother and for the people invited in to watch your new baby take its first breath, it is something that would never be forgotten, because it is one of the most beautiful things in the world....... Not the vagina, but the entrance of a brand new life in to the world..........
No one walks into a labour ward going, oh my god, I am going to see vagina....... By the time that you have to push and every thing down there is bared, the vagina is no longer a vagina, it is a birth canal, and letting those that are close to you in to the labour ward can not only strengthen the bond between you but also be useful during delivery...... We have all heared the stories of the hubbys/boyfriends that faint or have to leave the room.......
When I gave birth to my daughters, my friends and family stayed around the top of me, untill the point that I was pushing, and then they all went down for a look........ By that time a tv crew could have come in and filmed live to the whole world, I wouldnt have cared........ After the birth we all talked openly and honestly about the experiance, and not once was my vagina mentioned, it was all, babies head this babies head that, so if you want to invite your friends and family in but are worried about your modesty or of being embarresed, dont be, no one notices that it is you....... They are too busy watching the baby.
