2 1/2 Year Old Gets Sharp Pains On Left Back Side of Head. Posted: 10-17-07 15:07pm
Hello,
My 2 1/2 year old daughter gets sudden
sharp pains on left back side of head. She
will be playing or just sitting there and
all of a sudden start crying pretty hard.
It lasts about 1 minute tops and is gone
just that quick.
She gets this pain like once a month or
so. About 4 times total now. It really
worries me.

You should take her to a doctor.

Doctor immediantly. She should have
already gone. But please take her!!
Unexplained pain is something that needs
medical attention.

But, had found answer online first
Optic nerve on back left side of head.
When a muscle in back of the neck
tightens- can cause sharp pain to back of
head

Well if you are comfortable with googling
a diagnosis online, then that is what you
are comfortable with. I know for me,
personally, I'd be wanting to know if it
were my child from someone who could
diagnose her by seeing her and examining
the area that hurts her.
But, like I said, if you are
comfortable... more power to that.
