Moderator Intro - I'm Birch! Posted: 10-16-07 20:45pm
Hi, I'm Birch and was just appointed a mod
for this forum.
I'm 28 and have had migraines off and on
since I was in fifth grade. I have had
tension headaches everyday until about
four years ago when I cut caffiene and
dramatically changed my diet. I have
figured out how to cope with migraines.
If I can be of any help, please let me
know!

11 Week Headache And Dizzy, Please Help Me Posted: 10-23-07 19:49pm
I am a 42 male, very active, relatively
fit, 5' 10" 190lbs, non-smoker,
non-coffee, non-soda drinker. 11 weeks
ago I got a persistent headache. The usual
Excedrin, Advil, Tylenol, alieve, Advil
did not help. Been to general Dr and now
Neurologist several times. They have no
idea what it could be. MIR and MRA where
normal. I am almost never headache free
and I am dizzy about 50% of the day. It is
not a spinning dizzy, it’s a light
headed, pulsing dizzy, mostly on right
side of head, but sometimes my whole head.
The Dr have said it's not a migraine and I
tend to agree. They have tried high doses
of ivyprofen, amditriptolene, and one
other pain medicine (can't remember)
It’s really hard to deal with this day
after day. I can’t take the dizziness
and headaches anymore. I’m not
suggesting I’m depressed; It’s just
wearing me out. As I stated I’m
normally very active, this is not me. I
need help. Where can I go, what type of Dr
should I see, what questions should I ask.
Help, please, thank you.

When is the headache usually attacking
you?
Do you get headache that after awhile
brings on dizziness as well?
Did you start experiencing these symptoms
after certain mental or physical
exhaustion?
Do you, also, feel a severe fatigue?
