why does the pill make me throw up?
i have tried many different kinds

You may want to try changing WHEN you take
it, if you haven't already tried that. It
made me nauseous if I took it at night.

Have you taken any progesterone-only
pills? If you have, and still got sick,
then I don't know if the shot would help,
since it is progesterone-only as well.
However if you've only been on combo-pills
then I'd check out ones with only
progesterone

You are throwing up because the pill goes
into your stomach, which can cause some
women to become sick.
NUVA RING goes into the vagina, and will
not make you sick like rgular birth
control pills.
You should consider it
