You may want to try changing WHEN you take it, if you haven't already tried that. It made me nauseous if I took it at night.

Have you taken any progesterone-only pills? If you have, and still got sick, then I don't know if the shot would help, since it is progesterone-only as well. However if you've only been on combo-pills then I'd check out ones with only progesterone

You are throwing up because the pill goes into your stomach, which can cause some women to become sick.
NUVA RING goes into the vagina, and will not make you sick like rgular birth control pills.
You should consider it

It's not any weirder than putting a tampon in.
But whatever floats your boat

I got fatter on the pill and on the ring. The pill made me sick like I had the flu, and killed my sex drive. The patch did the same thing. The ring is the only one I can live with. However, the ring makes me anxious and irritable. On every one of these methods I have put on weight like crazy, and I didn't change my eating patterns at all! I have no choice but to use a hormonal birth control, however, because I have a medical condition that makes it necessary. I would advise anyone who doesn't have to be on a hormonal form of birth control, to stay off it. Your hair may fall out, your libido may completely vanish, and you don't absorb vitamins as well when you're on hormonal birth control. Natural is best, and there is nothing natural about hormonal birth control.
