I'm about 38 weeks and recently have had alot more discharge, and in the past day it has been almost unbearable and embarrassing. Also, yesterday I started getting pains in my back, and strong cramps in my abdomen that seemed to never go away, even through the night. Today they have slightly calmed down, but when they hit, they hit hard! Could these be contractions or signs labor is near?

They could be early labor. Have you discussed when to call your doctor with him yet? You might want to just call his/her office and speak with the nurse maybe.

Good luck!
