I'll answer the question anyway, I guess. A chemical pregnancy does not typically 'disappear' in one day. There would still be lingering hormones hanging out after 24 hours - if it were enough hormones for your body to stop your period. Does that make sense?

If you read the pregnancy test correctly - didn't wait too long - then maybe you should go see a doctor for another test.

how long did you let the hpt test sit before you got the positive?

The first test I took was one day after my missed period it was a digital test it said "pregnant" after about 30 seconds.

The next one I took was a day later and it was a - type test and that was negative then 2 days later I took the blood test and that was negative.

At 5 days after my my missed period I went to the Doctors and right after she gave me the papsmear and I started bleeding red blood for one day that was it then 4 days later I bleed one spot of brown blood and that was my period, I guess.

Usually it is 6 days long and heavy at first then it gets lighter everyday till it is gone.

It is just so ironic to me that I got a positive on that one test and was 5 days late on my period then I have the strangest period ever. I think I might buy a preg test again just to prove to myself I am not preg.

That sounds like what I am currently going thru. Two digital "pregnant's" on Friday, VERY slight spotting on Saturday followed by 2 negative's. I am now five days late and am still only "wiping" red. It's very confusing and now I do not know whether to start a pack of BC or not....
