Hello all,

hopefully, one or several of u out there would be wise and kind enough to clarify something for this 21 yr old with regards to Yasmin (latest birth control pill doc's have been pushing):

If the pill has been taken regularly AND appropriately for roughly 5 months, and I break for 7 days between packs (to allow for my period), IS THE PILL still in affect directly following the period... previous to the consumption of the next month's first pill?

Thanks a bunch... looking forward to some insight!

The pill is effective ALL THE TIME once you start. You were as protected as the pill can be ONE WEEK after you started.

The only thing that lessens effectiveness is missing pills, and some antibiotics and herbs etc.

Hmm.. .. just want to make sure.

Does yaz come with different colored inactive pills? Or just 21 regular active pills?

I just want to make sure you weren't taking the inactive pills, then skipping a week, then starting again.

well yeah, im using yasmin 21; therefore i have no "inactive" pills. Instead, i just map out the 7 days between packs on my calendar each month.
