Back Spasms Can't Walk Or Crawl Posted: 10-15-07 16:15pm
What can I do if I have extreme back pain
with spasms that won't allow me to walk,
crawl, roll over, sit, or lift my leg? I
am flat on my back on the floor. Thanks,
Donna

Hello Donna,
PLEASE seek professional medical advice
from a neurologist and/or doctor
specializing in back pain.
Donna, may I ask in which country you
live? If the U.S. in which state?
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Or Go to Posted: 10-22-07 05:19am
Or go to specialists who treat people like
you every day:

Pain; A Randomized, Controlled Trial, Eva

"Naprapathy works better on back and neck
trouble than recommended and proven
effective advice from doctors, according
to a new study from Swedish medical
university Karolinska Institutet. "
Manual Therapy, Physical Therapy, or
Continued Care by a General Practitioner
for Patients with Neck Pain. A Randomized,
Controlled Trial, Jan Lucas Hoving, PT,
PhD; et. all.
"Conclusion: In daily practice, manual
therapy is a favorable treatment option
for patients with neck pain compared with
physical therapy or continued care by a
general practitioner."
Manual Therapy Best Alternative Treatment
for Neck Pain Relief
Ann Intern Med. 2002;136(10):713-722,

"After completion of treatment, success
rates were 68.3% for manual therapy, 50.8%
for physical therapy, and 35.9% for
continued care."

And many others can be found...

I can apsolutely sypothise with your
situation. The same thing happens to me.
It is completely cripling. Im am so sorry
your dealing with this pain. The only
thing that helps me is muscle relaxers and
pain medication and laying flat on the
floor with a heating pad. Sometimes, its
takes up to a couple of weeks to be up and
feeling ok. The worst part is needing to
get to the doctors in that state to get
the meds.
Also, if you havent already, you really
need to get an MRI. An orthopedic doctor
may even want to try cortozone shots if
its a problem with your discs.
The best of luck to you in your recovery.
STAY STRONG!

Do you mean that don't get a cortizone
shot? It is for inflammation, not for disc
problem. But sometimes orthopedic doctors
offer that because they don't know what
else to do... and there are options!
