2 days ago I noticed my pinky finger on my right hand was swollen. Today I can feel a hard lump around the 1st joint at the tip of my finger, I am having pain all the way up to my elbow when I move my arm.
Does this sound like a torn ligament to anyone? I plan on going to the doc soon. I am going mad with thoughts on what this may be. I am a 26 yr old female, normally healthy. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Ask for a rheumatoid arthritis test. A friend of mine exhibited the same symptoms from out of the blue...

Well, my appt came and went....I have a torn ligament that is going to need surgery at some point. Fun wow!

I am also dealing with a misterious bladder issue as well right now!
Ahhh....I'm physically falling apart!

Finger pain

I know it has been a while, but was wondering what your outcome has been. I think I have same problem in knuckle closest to palm in pinky finger. I go to DR in a week. If you had surgery did it work, how bad was it? Thanks for info

Finger injury also, wondering if I have something similar wrong

Okay I'm bumping an old thread but came across this while looking for information about my finger problem.I have the same problem with a lump on my finger. I injured it two weeks ago. The joint above the knuckle is injured, lump is on the inside of this joint facing the middle finger. It clicks in that area when I move the finger up and down. I can't bend my tip. How do they diagnose torn liagments?
