try to let your friends understand that you are happy with this guy. eventually they will understand.

One thing however is that, when you are in-love, you tend to oversee things. And your friends try to see things that you don't because you are too overwhelmed with your feelings.

My advice is to talk to your friends and find out why they don't agree with your relationship with the guy. Only then will you be able to know the reason behind it.
