All we can say is that your "friend" needs to take a test.

Stretchmarks affect the skin. Veins are underneath the skin. And stretchmarks are not exclusive to pregnancy - they happen anytime there's a dramatic growth.

My friend is also on the depo (whatever). Lately she has been having symptoms. My only advice to her was to take a test. That's the only real way to find out. Bc the symptoms for a pregnancy are not just for pregnancy.

She's always had veins. As to why they're "showing up" now... who knows? Maybe she lost some moisture in her skin and it's a bit thinner than usual. Maybe she's lost a bit of pigment. Maybe they've always been there and she's just now "noticing" because she thinks she might be pregnant and is reading too much into every little detail of her body.

If she's having pain above her belly button, that's nothing to do with pregnancy. Your uterus is inside your lower abdomen, right above your vagina. It's not near your belly button. A sharp pain on ONE side could be worrying - it could suggest an ectopic pregnancy, which means her baby is growing in her tube instead of in her uterus. But pain on BOTH sides? Not to do with pregnancy.

I don't think she's pregnant. I think she thinks she might be, and is freaking out. Tell her to take a test and relax.

no one judged you, it was just obvious it was you. Pain in your stomach is not a sign of pregnancy unless you're in labour and are having contractions. It could be many things, apendicitis, period pains, an ovarian cist or nothing at all

Take a pregnancy test if you feel you are pregnant. The symptoms you are talking about are not exclusive to pregnancy and can mean any numerous things.

If you are pregnant and these are truly pregnancy symptoms, you would be far enough along to get a pregnancy test to show positive.

We've been giving you respectful advice.

ohhh
i wouldnt worry too much if you are on depo
your using birth control after all however you are always at risk of pregnancy even with protection
just take a test or go see a doctor they can help you out and give you a blood test

You said your bestfriend got pregnant on depo but i thought it was like 99.9% effective and I know of plenty of people that have got pregnant on depo. But how is that? But sorry for the missunderstanding I thought some one was trying to be rude.

I've heard of a lot of women getting pregnant on the depo shot actually. It's 99.9% effective only when it's injected at the same times (I'm not sure if they are every 3 months or every month-I've never been on depo) But for example, if you got a shot on Jan 1st and were due again 3 months later, the doctor gave it to you mid-March...that would make it less effective. It's kind of like when you're on the pills how you have to take them at the same time every day or they are less effective...

Why not just go buy a test? You will feel a lot better knowing either way. I think you can even buy them online if you are nervous about going into a store (some girls are).

most birth controls are 99% effective but also alot of women get pregnant on birth control
the only way to guarentee you wont get pregnant is to not have sex
anytime you have sex even while on birth control theres a chance of pregnancy

The only time peoples posts may seem rude or offensive is when people ask for advice and answers and dont like what people have to respond with and et defensive and a fight breaks out.

You dont need to hide, a 'friend' is 90% always the OP.

You can get pregnant on birthcontrol although it is higly effective as a controceptive it does happen. Same as pills, IUD, or a condom!

Skinny or Heavy set girls pregnant or not, stretchmarks can occur on a persons body at anytime.
