It's been 4 yrs since my rt cva. Mobility more labored and limited. Use cane & afo. I'm 59 and now realizing how much more difficult it is with each passing yr to contribute to helping with grandchildren or having energy or interest to contribute to the community.. Had a wonderfilly active life and a blessed career in nursing. Really comfortable doing minimally now. . .Physically but feel like a real "slacker" for not having the interest or desire to engage in all the social & philanthropic activities I did. Just really don't make committments cause I never know if I can muster the strength or desire to be there. Anybody in this boat???
