Q: Is the reason I am overweight slow digestion ?

I have a very very slow digestion... I have been told by many a doctor.
I was wondering... is it possible that the reason I am overweight could be my slow digestion? I mean, if I'm not getting rid of things faster they could be sitting in my body and weighing me down... right?
I dunno.... what do you think?
