Ok I finally got my car back today from the shop. Now steve and I each have our own car. We bought jayden a new car seat for his car, it is the kind with the arm rest that comes down over their head. I am going to go out and buy a new one for my car tonite. I wanted to see what you girls like better, the 5 point harness or ones with the arm rest? I am not too sure which one I will like better.

I'm not to thrilled with the arm rest ones. They could be uncomfortable at times. My son is a beast for his age and won't even fit into one even if I liked it.

Hey
My niece had the harness one. I like the idea of the safety the pull over one, but it's not very efficent and it's time consuming....Lol. I'm lazy and both work well!

I just read ur post and love hearing all things ppl are buying for babies it reminds me that I get to do that some day, I also read how u guys said u paid 140 for a car seat. Thats us dollars for aussie dollars u can double that and thats how much they are here, altho the one I have picked out faces forward and then when u stop and u are taking the baby out instead of lifting the baby over the carseat, it turns around so u just lift them out of the car if that makes sense.

From someone who cant wait to have a jellybean all of their own

She will be 8 months on the 7th. The weight limit for the carry infant car seats is 20lbs. At her last apt she was 16lbs. So I am sure she is just about 20. Besides she is sooooo heavy to carry in that car seat. 140 is way expensive for a car seat. Most range from 40-70 dollars. The one we got was 140 because it goes from birth to 100lbs. Most car seats only go up to 40 and then you need to get another one. But i'd rather buy another car seat at a later time. They get so nasty and fadded from the sun by the time you would need a new one anyways. I was stupid and jumped at the first car seat I saw and liked. But I am really enjoying the one I got tonite.

Sean has one with a front harness, they arent that hard to get babies in and out of and I just feel most secure with it because then I feel like he is secure all the way around. I love it!! Ours is a graco comfortsport!! And this picture matches it perfectly!! Except ours has a couple crumbs

The latest trend in child restraints is higher rear-facing weight limits. We’ve been seeing 35 lbs. rear-facing weight limits, but now we have a standout. Rear-facing the seat is rated from 5-40 lbs.

Not all seats supports the weight of the babies after they reach a certain age limit. The ordinary child care car seats supports weight up to 20 or 30 lbs. The Britax car seats and convertible car seats can support from 40 to 60 lbs weight. So based on the weight and height of the baby select the car seat which best suits your babies needs.

A car seat is the only safe way to transport your child in the car. There are different seats you can buy according to the size and weight of the child. The Booster car seats are safe for the children under 5 years.

The Baby car seats are the best means to prevent serious injury to your child in the event of an accident. It is mandatory that children under the age of twelve should be always seated in the back seat of your car as the air bags cause breathing problem at the time of accident. The Booster car seats should be used for children for children under eight years old.
