Do You Believe Homosexuality Is Wrong? Answer This. (Page 1)

User Profile
If you were born attracted to the opposite sex, but what was "right" and "christian" meant you had to be attracted to the same sex, would you force yourself to engage in a relationship with the same sex if it meant you were going to heaven and to be accepted by God?
Or would you follow your heart and do what you believe is right for you?
Think it over and answer wisely.

For me, I'd go with my heart. If it told me to have sex with a man and that men were sexy, no matter WHAT the predominant religion was saying (since I don't follow it anyway) I'd have sex with men! Would I give ladies a try? I probably would. But I wouldn't deny myself my natural urges.

Thanks Jincks and Eiri Smile
Nightangel and anybody else, just humor me. It's a "what if" scenario. Answering the question isn't hurting anything, am I correct?

You shouldn't change who you are just because it's not what your God wants, if you ask me then if your God says something you find enjoyable and makes you happy is wrong then they're not much of a God to me. If this causes offence i'm sorry but that's just the way i see it. I'm bisexual and i'm prud to be, it makes me happy and i'll be bisexual until the day i die

its a misguided question - Christianity does not say YOU MUST BE ATRRACTED TO THE OPPOSITE SEX

I see what your trying to do, put the shoe on the other foot, but it is different your trying to force someone against their sexuality to engage in sex the church does not do this, fundementally the question turns the whole of Christianity upside down, its doctrines everything, you dont realise the difficulty with your question.

My honest answer is....

I would be wiling to abstain from hetrosexual sex for the glory of the kingdom of God but I would not be willing to engage in sex with someone I do not feel attracted to or love.

I was raised Catholic and was told that heterosexual sex was the only moral kind of sex my entire life.

I went with what felt right, started dating men, found Mr. Right, and I've never been happier.

"Then what does it say, Guest?"

The Church does not permit its members to engage in homosexual sex acts even if they are attracted to the same sex, but it does not say HOMOSEXUALS MUST BE ATTRACTED TO THE OPPOSITE SEX, it does not force them to engage in sex with members of the opposite sex, infact it argues that a homosexual should not be engaging in hetrosexual sex.

"I was raised Catholic and was told that heterosexual sex was the only moral kind of sex my entire life. "

Then they are wrong, the only moral kind of sex according to Christianity is sex within holy matrimony,

Hetrosexual sex can be immoral too!

Oh my GOD. I just realized how bad of a person I am. I shouldn't be pregnant! I shouldn't have had sex before I married Nick! I'm going to hellllll Sad
Who cares. I don't. You are bad at arguing your point. Really, you make absolutely no sense most of the time.
