My last birth control pill was a week ago from wednesday. so its been a week since i havent taken a pill. My boyfriend stuck it in on friday of that wednesday(2days after my last pill) and then stopped and quit. he didnt come at all but im still afraid because i dont know about my pregnancy risk. I know im safe during the inactive week so i dont know what to think. That was the last time i had sex or close to it. And now that im quitting for a couple months i was wondering what to experience so i dont get freaked out about pregnancy. thanks

anytime you have unprotected sex theres a chance of pregnancy
also precum can get you pregnant

if your off the pill and you dont want a baby then use condoms or spermacide or another form of BC

you are at the same risk any one else is when you have unprotected sex
it doesnt matter how long you were on the pill
you are not on it anymore so therfor you can get pregnant

there is no exact [percent of the risk
point blank the risk is there

there are many effects going off the pill its different for everyone

Wait let's clear this up. So your last active pill was a week ago or your last inactive pill was a week ago??

You are protected through your inactive week. But the day after that, if you don't take another active pill, you can get pregnant.

It can confuse your body a little as you come off, but no more than it did going on it. And the pill isn't bad for your body at all, it's using the same hormones your body already has!! It's better for you to stay on it and not have to go through the hormonal ups and downs of transitioning on and off birth control. I'd suggest just staying on it if you plan on having sex.

Or invest in some condoms Wink

My last pill was a week and acouple days now. so the 11 i was suppose to take a new pack. but i didnt. i just need to find one that helps my body alittle better. but for now ill use condoms till i find one. What could i use for alittle more protection so the condom doesnt break? And if we use the pull out method(correctly so the condom doesnt break coming out) is that better than keeping it in? Thanks for your help georgia.

pull out method doesnt work and its not a form of protection
you can get pregnant from pre ejaculate
use a condom and spermacide

She ALSO meant what she said....

Pulling out does not do ANYTHING, except give you a FALSE sense of security.

You can have a condom on, pull out, and get pregnant. I work for an aboriton provider, I have seen women get pregnant using pull out and condoms, condoms and a sponge, or just using pull out.

IF the condom happened to be broken, PULLING OUT will not matter, because you get pregnant from penis in vagina sex. BEFORE ejaculation, the man releases small amounts of fluids that contain sperm, THIS CAN get you pregnant.

By the time you would realize that the condom was broken, when he did pull out, it would be too late. He would have already gotten some fluids inside of you.

SO MANY WOMEN believe that pulling out works, but it is only a matter of time before it will fail.

Your best bet would be go to the doctor and try to find a birth control method that works for you.

ALSO, you should use a condom and spermicide, this would also be the best thing.

IF THE condom DOES BREAK, you can get PLAN B to prevent pregnancy.

anytime you have sex no matter if you are on any birth control or using condoms then you could get pregnant
pulling out doesnt do anything at all
use spermacide and condoms
but the only way to not get preg is abstinence
any other time no matter what youre at risk

Yes, spermicide plus condoms is a pretty good method. Pills (or other hormonal methods) are still the most effective though.

Why didn't you like the pill you were on? You know if you switch brands, a lot of time, the side effects will go away.

With the plan b just in case something happens, you are pretty well protected. But don't bother pulling out, the small amount of protection it offers really just isn't even worth the trouble.

I just need alittle information. I was suppose to stop my period on thursday of last week, but im still on it. Is this because I quit my pills on the last day of my last pack? Is my body going back to normal and thats why its been so prolonged? And if I was pregnant, from the first post, wouldnt of the bleeding stopped? And thank you for your guys responses, it helps me.

Yes, stopping the pills can cause unusual periods, that's why it's not advised you do it suddenly.

And yes, you would not have had bleeding for this long if you were pregnant. Where would the embryo be!?
