Q: Finally Injected Depo.

So I finally got Depo injected today! She told me it might burn when injected, and it did, though that wasn't really bad; I've felt far worse pain! I got it in my bum lol.

As of now (5 hours later on the dot!) I feel fine. I do have some dizziness at random moments while sitting (it's listed as a side effect) but that happens to me on occasion off birth control too so I don't know whether or not to attribute it to Depo.

Two days later (sunday from friday) and I'm still fine. Not experiencing any side effects, though I know that may start later.

Yay!

I've been on my new pills for a month now and I'm still LOSING weight, not gaining. Yay!!

i was on the shot for about 3 years loved it until i found out that being on the shot your chances of getting osteoporoses are greatly increased thats after a certain amount of time tho...i would still talk to ur doctor about it...also when the time comes to have kids i heard that going off the shot and getting that medicine out of your body is very hard

It takes a long time, that's the "hard" part. Other than that and the risk of increased bone-loss with long term use, Depo is pretty amazing. I need to remember to start drinking milk again... and eating more cheese! Very Happy

You know, "Is Dizziness a Symptom" REALLY shouldn't be in the title of this topic:

A. I didn't put it in originally.
B. I KNOW Dizziness is a symptom!!

If someone could, oh... UNEDIT my topic, that would be cool. Since I can't anymore, even though I mod this forum. No editing posts that are already accepted!! I was never asking if dizziness was a symptom, I was simply stating that I was indeed experiencing a common side effect.

Anyway, I've got an update on my shot. I've started my period! Yesterday actually, Nov 12. Funny since the shot was injected Oct 12 haha.

How wonderful is this? Very wonderful, because it's just the slightest spotting. I don't even need a pad of any kind; I basically have brown-tinged discharge!

LOL! It sounds like you are enjoying your shot! I did! I loved it we'll see if in a year or so if I can get back on. As you know I"m sure I've had some other problems and hopefully my system will get back to normal and I can go back!! I miss not having a period Sad

The spotting is a bit heavier now, but still just spotting. If I could afford some panti-liners I would get some. I've got really mild cramps too, but hardly anything to notice.

I notice the title of my topic isn't fixed yet...

I figured I'd update you all XD

I ended up spotting for a WEEK (bleh!) but considering stories I've heard, that's nothin'. Aside from that I've been totally fine on it Smile
