Q: False Nails - Am I at Risk for Hepatitis or HIV ?

Hi,

This may sound a silly question. I recently went and had some false nails applied at a salon. The technician was quite rough and cut the cuticles on some of my finger nails. She dabbed away the blood before applying varnish over it. I may be paranoid but does this put me at risk of Hepatitis or HIV??

False Nails & Hepatitis
a few years ago, i also went to have a pedicure and was cut on the toe. it ended up with me getting
hepatitis b. it was my first pedicure that my daughter sent me to, and i didn't notice until i left that
her tool were put in a jar with no antiseptic solution. please go for a hepatitis b blood test! some places
you can get it for free. next time bring your own cutter for your nails, that way you'll be safe. blessings!

I am sorry to hear that happened to you! I wasnt worried so much about the cutter...she did it with an emery board and I didnt get the impression that was dirty. I was more worried it would transfer through the nail varnish or oil...?
