Can my baby girls vagina close up? Does this happen at all, my sister in law made a comment about how small my daughters was compared with her two girls vaginas and suggested that it could close up and that I should take her to the doctor? Is their any truth to this?

I've never heard of that before (that doesn't necessarily mean it couldn't happen because I am no doctor)...

I wouldn't take her to the doctor just for this...
Wait until her next well-baby visit and just ask the doctor then...

That is the most absurd advice i've ever heard. That doesn't happen , period and not everyone has the same size vagina, boobs, legs, eyes and so forth. Your sister in law is totally ignorant in regards to the female anatomy maybe she should consult her childrens pediatrician and he/ she can clear up her bubbly head.

actually, that does happen. just google "fused vagina".

to the OP, ask her doctor about it. if it is fusing together there's a cream they'll give you. what from i gather, if the cream doesn't help it will fix itself by puberty. another poster on here just recently found out about this with her baby girl.

really...my bad then! i knew it could happen to women and teens ...they have to snip off the hymen because it has grown too big to be broken for penetration but to babies never....and how could her sister law know if that is what the baby has? its ridiculous to make assumptions
