You should take everything as you normally would. You just must use extra protection when having sex. I don't know how long it takes for sure but I beleive as soon as the anti-biotics are out of you system. So like a day or 2 depending on the anti-biotic. If it's a z-pak or azithromicin that last for about 7 more days after taking your last pill. So in all just be careful

I was just reading the paper that comes with the perscription. This time it didn't list birthcontrol as one of the drug interactions...lol but it did say that others weren't printed on the document. So my boyfriend and I have agreed we'd be very careful. I'll be taking the antibiotic for about a week. Everything back to normal...maybe a week or so after? you think?

That sounds like a safe plan to me

My understanding is that you need to use a backup method the entire time you are on the antibiotics and for a full 7 days after you stop taking the antibiotics.
