can someone be allergic to drinking alchol? any type of drinking alchol? for instance beer, wine, etc. my brother gets violent when he drinks, he wants to fight any and everyone no matter what. When he is not drinking he is the kindest, gentle guy anyone would want to know. He will do anything in this world for you, but when he drinks it like he becomes some-one else. He wants to fight, break things, you name it he trys to do it. Can anyone help me. I would like to know why and if there is anything one could do to make this stop. I love him very much and his family. I would like to see him quit drinking and hoped that there was something he could take to help him quit. thank you

Violence when drunk is common and needs to be dealt with by... not drinking. That's all he can do. That, or make sure he doesn't get as drunk. There are many ways to stop drinking and a lot of support.

Drinking Will Make You Violent
My husband calls me a mean drunk. I am a very easy going person but if I drink too much my anger comes out in the worse way. I would sit down with your brother at a time when he is not drinking (make a real meeting) like at a restraunt or something, tell him you have something important to tell him and just explain your feelings and his actions when he is drinking. He has to admit his problem and start going to AA meetings or whatever and you would benefit from Alanon meetings. Good luck !!!!!!

you can be allergic to alcohol but sometimes being mean and violent is how some people react to the stuff.
