Q: Finally!

We finally closed on the house yesterday!! I wasn't excited about it at all when they gave me the key but when we went to the house to wait on the water guy I was super excited. I walked in the door and thought, "Wow, this is mine." We painted the living room and the dining room yesterday. The color was supposed to be a light gold, it didn't turn out that way on the walls. They're kind of mustard-y looking. Embarassed Since three gallons of that paint cost me $60, I think they're going to stay looking like mustard for a little while. Laughing Tomorrow the plumber and the electrician are coming out to give me an estimate on the repairs and I'm going to rip up the godawful pink carpet to get to the hardwood floors underneath!! That's going to be sooo much fun. Whenever we're done I'll post before and after pictures!

Oh yeah, totally random but I had to put my car in the shop yet again because I went to put the driver's side window up yesterday and the window slipped off track and fell into the door! Shocked I didn't even know that was possible! Cross your fingers for me that it's not that expensive to fix...

Yeah it is....my attic is tiny covered in insulation and you have to pull down the ladder out of the ceiling. **jealous of your attic**

Ugggg you have carpet in your attic....that's NOT fair!

I think maybe a play room. The house has central air so I don't have to worry about sweating to death in the attic there like we do in our attic now. Maybe a sleeper sofa so if anyone pops over they can sleep up there instead of on my couch. I hate when people sleep on my couch. We're thinking about turning the littlest bedroom into an office...

Congratulations on the closing. I bet it was annoying how many papers you have to sign.

That house is cute...which one is it again? I mean where is it? I don't remember.
Do you have a pic of the front of the house?

Swissvale. All the neighbors came over to say hello yesterday. It was soo funny, it felt like every single time I picked up my paint brush the doorbell would ring. I forgot how that side of town can be. I felt like Scrooge because I'm not the type of person that likes to know my neighbors...

I have no clue what that is. I saw that in the picture and when we went back the second time there was nothing there. They just had a new roof put on four years ago so it's possible that it could have been water damage. But the inspector checked the house, the only water damage that was found was in a corner right beside the shower (from splashing outside the shower) and by the side window in the attic. There was nothing wrong with that corner. I'm wondering if it's just the picture maybe? Or maybe they painted over it really fast and pretended like there was nothing there... Confused

No, nothing bothering me. It just doesn't seem real yet and I'm seriously impatient and want everything done yesterday. Laughing I'm actually more excited about painting, cabinet shopping and picking out floor tile.
