I know this situation is so over-talked and posted atleast 812941578175817537x times a day but I am really stressed out. I 've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo for about a month now. I had to go off my pills for a little less than a week sometime in early/mid september but started them right back up. I genuinly take them around the same time each day. I mean no one is perfect so yes sometimes it will be 2-3 hours late or early, but I didn't really think that was a signifigant difference. I also NEVER EVER miss a pill. ANYWAY! lol, the situation is the bf and I were having sex and the condom slipped off. I was on the next to last of the pre-menstral week pills. The accident? The condom slipped off inside me during sex and I had to pull it out. In doing so, some semen...leaked in there and I have been ULTRA paranoid since. I am stressing myself out to a serious point and am afraid that my period will be affected in its start.

Also, alot of people I know are pregnant and I just don't want to catch the fertility bug, lol. Could I seriously be pregnant from this incident? I mean alot of the stuff made it into the condom but there was a bit of leakage one can imagine with gravity and all. Any advice is appreciated.

You take birth control pills to prevent pregnancy. Which is what birth control pills are for - you do not need to use a condom also. Although, good on you for doing so!

You don't ovulate on birth control pills so there would be nothing for the sperm to impregnate.

Birth control pills = no ovulation.
No ovulation = no possibility of pregnancy.
No possibility of pregnancy = no worry.

Thank you. I was just concerned because of that week I was off the pills. I have been on them religiously since early June but when I was readjusted the adverse side effects really had me too ill to take them until they gave me a new prescription. I will try to calm down, but Its really difficult lol.

You only need to take your pills for 1 week before they are effective in preventing pregnancy. I wish more doctors would explain this Smile
