After 9 days a hpt should be able to give you a positive result if you were pregnant. But for some women there's not enough hcg in there urine, maybe that's what's going on? Did you get a postive result quickly with your first baby? If you don't get your period within the next week you should probably make a doctors appointment.

Yes, you could very well be pregnant. I took 5 tests last week(when I was 2 weeks late) and even went to the doctor for another test. ALL said NEGATIVE. However, I was having doubts and took 4 more this weekend...ALL POSITIVE(and different brands). Sometimes it just takes awhile for enough hcg to build up.

It was positive when I was a day late.
