Thank you all for posting. I went through a lot of what you're going through, and hearing from others who have the same symptoms and get through every day really helps. I've started eating greek yogurt and it's helped a lot. My pain was in my lower back, and it's stayed away for the longest period of time in 3 years now that I've started the greek yogurt. It took about a month of eating one cup daily, but I'm really starting to feel a little better. Sleep is super important, too! Hang in there, everyone!

You know what is really weird with my Ulcerative proctitis? When I eat junk food for a few days it seems to calm down a lot! As soon as I start eating healthy it seems to flare up again haha. Today I am going on a different approach and am starting an excersize schedule to see if that helps. I hear that it can help a great deal if you do regular cardio workouts... lets see if it works I will post about it!

Good luck figuring out what exactly is wrong with your colon MyStomachHurts. It might be a combination of UC and IBS?

hiya everyone, im just after abit of advice on what to do about my problem or if it sounds anything like something you may have experienced yourselves, iv noticed blood on tissue after a bowel movement now since i was around 8 years old (now 26) and pain like being scratched inside quite alot, i never told anyone at the time as being only 8 i was petrified but the suffer in silence type ha, iv since been in hospital with pain in my stomach a few times that strong i almost pass out, they gave me antispasmodics and told me they 'think' its ibs never having given me a serious diagnosis on this i gave up going to my doctor fearing he just didnt want to know, he seems quite disgusted at the idea if im honest, makes me feel very uncomfortable, anyway, i dont suppose iv ever had the best diet as i do love crisps and sweets, im 5ft5 and weigh around 114lbs, so dont put weight on too easily, in general i dont think i go to the toilet without seeing blood on my stool, and i also get mucus, but this mucus is not white as you all explain its dark yellowish, and it hurts to go virtually everytime, i do suffer alot with consipation and always try to cut the junk out of my diet but it doesnt seem to help, any advice on what to do next or?? hope your all well, thanks xxx
