i think having this kind of disease is not the end of the world as long as we have love in our hearts... nobody has the right to reject us because of having that.. they are just lucky that they don't have that kind of disease,...like me when the doctor diagnosed me that i have trichomonas i am very depressed i feel so dirty and frustrated i disgust my self and keep on blaming my self for having sex in my chat mate boyfriend for shot a foreigner boyfriend....even though i don't know him exactly i still let him touch me without knowing that he will transmit me trich...i want to kill my self that time but i try to be a member in this site and i gain vitality...i am very glad that i can share and need help in this site by listening they're opinion,...

I can say that SericeU because I had bloodwork done for all STDs last year and was Negative for all. This was the only sexual partner I've had since then. That is how I know I just contracted the disease.

hello , every friends in the forum , I got the HSV2 last year , it was terrible untill today because every monthly after or before special days it break out , I felt everyday as hell , and I really think about suicide so many times , unfortunatly , every time got failure and somebody saved me by other ways ....... I love my boyfriend so much , I dont know how to tell him the truth since he has far from me ..... I scred about the result too much and I got mad ,,,,,, how should I do ?,,can you help me ? You can have your doctor prescribe Valtrex. If you take the Valtrex once a day it should stop the break-outs. They do come a lot in the beginning but over the years they become less seldom and you really don't think that much about it. I've been with my husband for almost 10 years and he has never caught it from me. I find that most outbreaks happen either when I'm really stressed or sick with a cold or flu. I haven't had a break-out in about 3 years. Of course I was on a cruise ship and caught that horrible virus that was going around. If your break-outs are out of control ask for Valtrex to take once a day.

Well , I appreciate for your reply and support here , and thanks for deeply understanding of my words ,,,congratuations for you have cured it and got recovery . I took Valtrex whenever it broke-out ,and almost monthly I take one week Valtrex for one week continously untill the blisters disappear . However ,the doctor told me if all the time I take this Valtrex medicine , its very harmful to health ,which leads to some problems to liver , kidney ,heart , ,,,etc . and I dont know if after I take several years what happen to me , So , I am in contradiction and I am struggling against it . i honestly dont believe that valtrex is any different than any other medication. all drugs comes with side effects. if you have hsv 1 you can always used the herbal remedies, or the cream at the pharmacy.
i m on high blood pressure, high cholesterol medication, and birth control pills. i sometimes take 500mg aspirin. all the things that i take has possible side effects. but the benefits outweigh the risks.

Well, I'm not cured because there is no cure but as I've gotten older my outbreaks just have gotten less. I really don't even think much about it and eventually you will feel the same way. Like any medication, there are side effects. I didn't take it every day but took it when I felt a break out coming and then continued for a few days. The Valtrex always cleared it up quickly. If you don't want to take it on a daily basis just try to take it when you are feeling sick or beginning to get those swollen glands down there. I usually get an itchy spot on the top of my buttocks/lower back and that is where I break out. It's never gone anywhere else. Just live your life and don't stress over it too much.

you have to take the drug separetly, taking both is like taking two birth control pills in one day.

the doctor can also prescribe a cream that you can put on the infection. which would be better than paying $16-21 for abreava.
i think you should tell your b/f if he loves you, he'll stay with you. try your best to pick the right time to talk to him.

Yes you can have sex unprotected. but one thing to think about is be careful with your outbreaks. because if you have an outbreak you dont want to pass it on to your partner when they are free from out breaks.

i have been dealing with HSV-2 since Nov of 2008 with being diganosed with it for just a year i just cant seem to cope with it i have only been with three people sexually and i was with one for almost 4 yrs and then new guy about 6 months and when i found out i had been with the new guy for about 3 months he was tested positive as well now iam so depressed i went back to my old boyfriend and talked with him and told him everything bc he was like my best friend and everything and now i don't know who i want to be with it seems easier to be with the new guy bc he has HSV and my old bf doesn't i don't want to infected him even though he tells me that it don't matter to him that he loves me for me but i care alot about the new guy to and i dnt wanna hurt him either i am torn between two guys and scared to be with one bc of HSV2 i wish i could figure this out bc it has consumed me since i found out i had HSV2 i feel so alone ever though i have two wonderful guys wanting to be with me I don't know if i should give up on a realtionship of almost 4 years (there have been a lot of issues of trust and problems) or give up the guy i have the sexual bond with (we both have HSV2) it scares me bc i haven't been able to be close with the guy i have dated for almost 4YRS bc of the herpes please some help me please i don't wanna live like this anymore flip flopping between two hearts

I contracted herpes two years ago, a year after i basically survived death twice from a tramatic surgery i had. I got it from my second long term relationship ive ever had. He admited he had cheated on me , we broke up but a year after we did, i found out i had it.Its been hard for me to get over that i have this virus but its a daily process to condition myself its ok, many people like myself have this and they are living a life as if they never had it.Life is too short to look at the negative, and having herpes could be turned into a positive outlook on life. I always believed every since i was little, God only gives you what you can handle. And if this is what i have then why not try to educate others about it. The only thing stopping me is finding a local group that i can be part of that shares the same feelings and willingness to spread the knowlegde to younger people about herpes. If anyone has ideas of where to look or how to find local centers of individuals that have herpes, please let me know. Until then. I wish everyone luck and remember; we all have a purpose in life, and mb having this virus is to educate others about it.
