Agrophobia - a fear of being in a crowd? Anyone w/ PCD? Posted: 10-07-07 06:07am
Recently I was referred to a specialist
regarding the Post Concussion Syndrome I
have suffered since a severe car accident
last year. I was referred there to recieve
another referral to Health School, which
allows me a tutor once a week and work at
home instead of being in a classroom.
He said I could also be suffering from
agrophobia, a fear of being in a crowd.
I often find I am terrified of going to
parties, etc because I don't want to deal
with all the people.
I would rather stay at home and watch a
movie with a person I know rather than go
out.
Has anyone else been diagnosed with
agrophobia or PCD?

I suffer from it when I have to leave the
house to go anywhere. Having MRSA which
leaves your immue system compromized, I am
deathly afraid of getting any kind of
germs. If someone sneezes around me, I go
right into a panic attack and want to just
run out of the store. I limit my outings
as much as possible because of this fear.
It is a horrible thing to have and I hate
it. I fear of being on the vent for 10 out
of 16 days in CCU like I was last December
with double pneumonia and MRSA came to
life. I never want to go here again!
