I Hate My Mom

im so upset right now! Today in the
morning my mom woke me up at like 8 to
babysit my siter so she can go drive my
grandma somewhere so i woke up didnt
complain or anything. I always do so i
always watch my sister. So she left me and
i was getting my sister up washing her
brushing her teeth feeding her playing
with her and everything. I always do that.
So my mom and gma came home at like 1 30.
and they started yelling at me. My gma was
like why shud ur mom drive u to ur hair
appointment? huh? watd u do for her? why
shud she do anything for u? who r u? huh?
and she really hurt me! i was liek waT? i
was watching my sister just so she can
drive u to go whereever uw anted to go!!
wth? how am i different than u? shes like
why shud she spend any money on u? ( note
that my mom never spends money on me !
ever! i havent had a haircut in 6 months
we havent gone shopping in god knows how
long, she never gives me money for lunch
or going out or anything ever. My bf
always pays) and so i was like omg . i was
babysit the whole morning. nd my gma is
like wat? u call that babysitting u didbnt
do caca! she almost made me cry but i was
like w/e go away. then i had appoitment at
1 45. and i was like mom let me drive plz
and she liek no! im not gonna play games
with u! and i was like plz i havent drove
in a month ( i still have my permit) so i
got in the car and i backed from the drive
way and go mom get in the car and she
started yelling at me and callign me a
health forum and a prostitute and all
these horrible names! she was like im not
going anywhere if ur gonan drive health
forum. so she went inside the house and
left me crying in the car. so i was like
ok go drive! god! and she got in the car
and slapped me so hard! for nothing! so i
was like dont doing it touch me! nd she
got out of the car and was like im not
going anywhere. so my stepdad drove me to
my hair appointment and he goes if its
more than 20 dollars ur mom wont pay. so i
went inside and they said it was 45
dollars. i called my mom and told her and
she said she isnt paying! My stepdad drove
away and left me there all alone! i had to
walk home for 45 minutes! i was crying so
hard! i cant believe my parents did this
to me! they always do they never spend a
penny on me. ever! my mom never cares
about me, she never asks me how school
went or how i am feeling or whats going on
in my life. I feel like i dont matter to
her. She always yells at me and hits me
and calls me names =[ and i feel so
depressed right now. I always get As in
school and help her with my sister and she
never says thank u or anything =[[[[[

Um, that's abuse. It's verbal, mental and
physical abuse and you do NOT have to take
it. Go to the police, go to a teacher, a
counselor, go to SOMEONE and report your
mother and grandmother! What they did to
you is ILLEGAL, it is against the law. You
have RIGHTS. You have the right to be
respected, and treated kindly, and you
have the right to NEVER be hit by anyone!
I'd call the cops on that woman so fast
her head would spin. And I'd get your
sister to come with you as well. I can't
imagine the horror it must be for HER to
heard grandma and mommy screaming such
obscenities as her older sister!

Her mom already slapped her, and I'm sure
this isn't the first time and it
definitely won't be the last, unless
something changes drastically.

This sounds bad. I think you should try
and get outta there, then she'll realise
how much you DO help with your sis. And
it's better for you to get away from this

thank you guys. But i cant go anywhere =[
i am 16 years old. and i did leave before
but only for two days. And i came home and
all she said was you do that one more time
and ima call the cops and they are going
to put you in jail. she didnt even care
that i was gone. and believe me if i had a
choice i would leave, but i have nowhere
to go. and i dont have a job or a car or a
license since she wont let me get either
one of those. i dont know wat to do =[
and for calling cops. About a year ago my
stepdad hit me and her and called cops on
him. But i dont think she learned from it.
I really dont want to call cops on her,
because if i do i have a feeling my
stepdad will throw me out or something .

They (the police, or child services,
whichever you call) will find a place for
you to go. A boyfriend's house, a school
pal, a relative. Even a safe-house! They
WILL get you out and you will have a SAFE
place to stay!
DO NOT LET YOUR STEP FATHER OR MOTHER HIT
YOUR SISTER AGAIN. Allowing this abuse to
continue happening is being an accessory
to the abuse, even if you are a victim as
well. You are the older sibling. It is
YOUR job to protect your sister!!
They will help you find somewhere to go,
but you need to stop this cycle. Having
your step-father throw you out is
PREFERABLE to living under abuse! There
are many many places for abused children
to seek haven, but you have to CALL.

your state, and call. You are legally a
child and so is your sister.

Tell someone-- and do it for your little
sis! You not only need to protect
yourself, but you need to protect her. You
don't want her to spend 16 more years with
that abuse, do you? I have 2 little bros
who are still kids, and if something like
that was happening to them, I would get
them out of there asap.
Tell someone at school- read what eiri
wrote and posted. They will protect you.

I am sorry about what is happening at your
home.
I know how you feel as it happened to me.
You should phone the police/ social
services the next time one of your
parents/grandparents hit you as it is
against the law. Do it for your little
sister and also for youself. As you both
have the right to be treated fairly and
as an equal.

Yes, you can call ANY time ANYONE hits
you. It is assault, and when a relative in
your home does it is is DOMESTIC ABUSE. If
you are their child, it is CHILD ABUSE.
There is no excuse for it. If it has
happened once or more, you have the right
to call.
There is emotional abuse too. Being called
horrid names, talked down to, and verbaly
assaulted also counts as abuse so you can
report that, too.

oh trust me.. i know.
my mom hit me with a plastic hanger and
left a baseball sized bruise on my leg
when i was 8 months pregnant with my son
because i *talked back* to her.
abuse is nothing to be tolerated.. i just
dont know how far it can go if there are
no obvious signs.
