Q: Multiple Shoulder Issues

Good Day! I'm experiencing multiple shoulder issues, but unclear if pain is resulting from impingement and what solutions to focus upon. I am a 51 year old triathlete. Have had two episodes of acute pain (June 2007 and August 2007). I've had some minor aches, but attributed it to volume of training. (I'm training for Ironman Triathlon event.) After last episode, I sought medical consultation and was referred to othopedic surgeon. The OS indicated that I have calcium deposits (about a dime in circumference and 1/4" thick), artheristis in A/C Joint and bone spurs on the acromion(?). I have good days where little or no pain and then other days that I have stiffness in the shoulder and soreness when I reach for things in the cupboards above shoulder height. I also have some difficulty/stiffness/soreness when reaching across chest (like when I scratch opposite elbow). I'll stop here....so many questions. Thanks for your help!

Not Sure What Advice?
Thanks, rainfire! That would help if I asked the question or questions. 1) Does this sound like impingement?
2) Should I be aggressive with treatment or relax and just live with achiness?
3) Will Physical Therapy really help or am I wasting time considering the issues?
4) Given my training activities will the calcium deposits diminish or be an continuing issue?
5) If pain is minimal, should I ignore it and chalk it up to the aging process?

OK....you asked! LOL! Thanks for any help!
