Q: Thinking About Banking Umbilical Cord

I'm considering saving the umbilical cord in order to prevent future illness for my blood line. Has anyone else benefited from this practice? Is it worth the annual cost?

We began researching this too late before our son was born, but we found this site to be a helpful starting point: http://cordbanking.org

Umbilical cord preservation
Umbilical cord preservation is really a great thing to do for your baby. This will save your baby from any life-threatening disease in future. It is an easy and painless process. The umbilical cord is extracted 5 minutes after the birth of a baby. Though i haven't practiced it, but have read much. One of my friend has done this with Cryobanksindia. You can also get yourself register with this organization.
