Q: Trouble Eating With a Wired Jaw after Surgery

so i got my jaw surgery yesterday and now i cant eat anything
im 5'6" and 130 lb. i have a extremly fast matablism as i eat about 6 meals a day. yes, 6 meals, if you convert these meals into cheeseburgers, lets say around 18 burgers. and i am still 130lb.
now i cant eat anything, im afriad im going to die...

Why did you get your jaw wired shut? You can still drink nutrition drinks, meal replacement drinks. You can add protein whey to them and give them more calories.

You are quite fortunate that you can eat 18 cheeseburgers a day.

i got my jaw shut cuz i got into a fight with a friend and he accidently broke my jaw
now where can i get meal replacement drinks? im very frustrated as i cant eat...

lets say if i recover extremly fast, how soon will i be able to eat regular food after my wire is cut in 2 weeks

You can get meal replacement drinks (Ensure, Boost, etc) at your grocery store. You can also go to the health food store and get whey protein and other things to mix into milk to boost the protein and nutrition content of the milk.

I'm amazed the doctor's office didn't clue you in on this stuff.

I don't know how long before you can eat 'real' food. I would assume as soon as your wire gets cut off - or else they'd leave it on longer.
