Still No Period 1 Year after Baby & Not Breastfeeding (Page 1)

Wow. I was breastfeeding and was only period free for about 11 weeks

Could you be pregnant again? I honestly think this situation varies for all women.

I got my first period when Alyvia was maybe... 9 months? 10? It's still very irregular (I'm still breastfeeding) which makes me always play the "am I?" question when it was "late". So for me, breastfeeding definitely affects my period.

I'm not sure though if you're not breastfeeding. I hope you find some answers soon!

Thanks. My doctor gave me the pill and said it could be while before I start. We have not decided to use the pill. Basically playing the if we get pregnant again its all good. I had a good talk with my doctor and she told me to go right ahead where it took so long to get preg before and that it would be in my interest to just get it done lol I did take a pregnancy test when I was there 2 wks ago and it was neg. So, not pregnant. I am sure if I have not had one by the time I see her again she will be wondering whats up. I just hope it gets back to normal again soon. I had a vaginal infection, and the antibiotics gave me a yeast infection so that was brutal. I thought I was starting my period then as I had some spotting and nothing so I chopped it up to being the infection. Anyways both of those are gone now and I am feeling better thank god.. I just want to have a period and geton a schedule again lol

I FINALLY STARTED.. Horray!!! Never so happy to get one in my life.

I did eat yogurt. In fact, I eat it like its going out of style. I always have. All I know is that the infections are gone. I am guessing that I ended up with the Yeast one because I was so close to my period. Who really know. Just glad its here lol

is it possible iam starting breastfeeding my chid for one year

i'm so glad i found this site, i've been really worried, i had my little girl 9months ago and still havn't had a period yet,we decided 2 try 4 another baby straight away so did preg tests at the end of every month 4 6 months then had a few spots begining of nov so thought was gonna start then nothing, i'm sure i'm not pregnant, i've had 3 children so would know by now i think lol and i have no symptoms, i'm glad i'm not alone on this one lol x

wow..glad u posted this..I had my daughter last August and i'm not breastfeeding and i still havn't gotton my period yet.I've always had irregular periods but this is way too long.I called my doctor and she said to take a test then call back with the results...so we'll see in a few.

I Agree Big Relief, to know it's not only me I had my daughter 3 months ago so I'm also kind of worried about not having my period.

im also in the same boat my baby girl is 3 months and no period but i did breastfeed for a month does any one know if that could effect me getting my period? i'm so nervous were sexually active but not ready for another baby

My baby is 16 months, I stopped breastfeeding when baby was 12 months and still no period. The doctor gave me some pills to help me get my period (pills call Duphaston). Took those for 10 days and today I am on day 18 and still no period. If I don�´t get it by day 23 I need to have hormonal tests etc. I am very worried and cannot wait to have a period again!

Great News I got my Period at 3 months and 3 weeks after having my Daughter. So for all you other ladies still waiting give it time and relax. If you just can't wait by all means go to your obgyn. I didn't want to I had one to many Doctor's visits at the end of my pregnancy. But at the 4 month mark I was going to get checked out on my husbands urging, but my period beat me to it. My baby just turned one, still breastfeeding (but obviously not exclusively), and still no period. I still "look" pregnant, so I keep wondering... uh, is there another one in there?? LOL. But there isn''t. I just have a weird body and weird hormones I guess.

my boy is 14 months old and I mixed fed for 4 and half months. to date I still have NOT had a period. On 30th April it will have been 2 years! Slightly worried now as have been trying for the next bubba for ages, but not preggas am seeing a specialist next week, so hoping for some answers.

I had a baby 12-16-09 stopped brest feeding 6-5-11. Went to the Dr. 9 days ago and gave me 7 pills to start and still have not started!

I am in the same boat sort of. My son was born 9-6-10. I had my period in october, november, and december and not a single one since then. Not even spotting. I am concerned because we want another one. I dont know what i should do.

I had my son 7 months ago i had him vaginal and i never breast fed i still haven't got a period and i'm really worried does anyone know what could be the problem

Im wondering the same thing, my daughter is 10mths old,,stopped breastfeeding at about 6mths,,,so it's been over 4 months and still no period and all tests are negative....I just want a period so my body can feel normal again!!
